“I’m here if you ever want to sit in awkward silence”
As odd as it sounds, this is one of the most supportive messages I received after the death of my son. It wasn’t major or poetic or profound, but it still touched me. It showed me how one person could still show up, even when they didn’t know precisely what to say.
Sometimes it’s just that simple—you don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be there.
