We can sometimes feel a heavy cultural obligation to find a silver lining in every loss, and to hold onto the adage that there is always something to be thankful for.
The truth, though, is that this isn’t always the case.
Sometimes life is hard. Life after the death of loved one is especially so.
If you’re having trouble finding reasons to be thankful this year, it’s okay. Take the time and the space you need. Thanksgiving should never be an obligation.
