Requests of a Bereaved Mother for All Prenatal Providers (Printable brochure)

Miranda Hernandez

Bereaved parents often report things they wish their providers had done differently in prenatal care. Things like sharing more detailed information on risks and benefits or spending more time evaluating concerning symptoms would have made a huge difference in several cases of perinatal death.

Bereaved parents also report things providers did or failed to do after their child’s death that made a difference. Things that helped to document memories and honor childrens’ lives that were far too brief.

As a companion to our blog post of the same name, this brochure is a summary of requests of a bereaved parent for all prenatal providers. It is ideal to distribute to doctors, nurses, doulas, social workers, and medical technicians working with a prenatal audience. Please print and share wherever it may be useful.
