After Adrian died at the end of a term pregnancy, I struggled with my postpartum body. I wanted to hold onto my weight as a link to my son, but I didn’t want strangers asking about my pregnancy. I wore baggy clothes to hide my body, preferring to be called fat rather than have to answer questions.
