Life insurance often covers a fetus past 20 weeks gestation

Nobody wants to think about the financial impacts of losing a child before they are born. It’s uncomfortable to imagine the need. Thankfully/oddly, many life insurance policies provide that coverage anyway. It’s a fact that became relevant to me.

Money is a difficult subject in general. It doesn’t surprise me, then, that money matters associated with death are doubly hard. I never thought I would be reading about the financial “benefits” of losing a child. I never thought anything like that would be relevant to me.

It’s not normal yet. I told March it all feels like a dream, like something that just didn’t happen. I struggle to remember I was pregnant at all.
