I saw your heart beat today. The doctor called it a “fluttering.” It was tiny; the books say you’re only about the size of a pea, but you have already changed my world.
I love you. I love your tiny developing organs. I love your constant growth. I love running my hand over the beginnings of my tiny pudgy bump. (You make me so hungry sometimes!)
I watched your heartbeat today, and I wanted to hold my breath. You are so wanted, and so beautiful, and even though I took five pregnancy tests, I hardly let myself believe you were real until I saw you on the monitor today. You are a tiny, perfect, beautiful creature, and I am absolutely in love with you.
Grow strong, little one. Grow strong, and be safe, and know that there is nothing in the world more important to me now than you. I am so excited to meet you!
